“What Do You Mean He’s Addicted to Alcohol?” Is an engaging and friendly way of teaching children, and adults about Alcohol Use Disorder. This practical, and intriguing story is about a girl named Hope and her grandfather’s struggle with alcohol. While this book is fictionally-based, it is also filled with firm information, including statistics and facts, about alcohol use. We wrote this book to teach children how to approach adults about drinking alcohol in a fascinating and easy-to-comprehend way. Any and all profits for this book are being donated to the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Our elementary school, sadly, is filled with kids affected by the opioid crisis. We wanted a tool for them to learn about the problem, discuss it with friends and adults, and look to a future of hope where addiction science and medicine can help intervene in this tragedy. We hope that you and your loved ones find good information in our book. We are fifth graders at Baden Academy in Western Pennsylvania. This book was written as part of a research fellowship in our Media Lab. Any and all profits for this book are being donated to the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Ava, Brett and Quincy have all lost loved ones to cancer caused by smoking. They wrote this book to help kids not start smoking. The book combines some silly pictures to make it fun to read with some frightening facts (over half a million deaths are caused by smoking! 8% of middle school experiment with tobacco products! Vapes are not danger free and on the rise!). Profits arising from the sale of this book will be donated to the Lung Cancer Alliance.
